Michigan Apple Cider
Michigan Cider
Apple cider is a popular and historic beverage that is very well-known in the Great Lakes and Northeastern U.S. Michigan cider makers take cider-pressing to an art form with groups including the Cider Makers Guild and Hard Cider & Perry organization. Both sponsor annual competitions with dozens of entries. Michigan apple cider makers, and Riveridge’s local supplier, also take their commitment to food safety very seriously. The industry is fully regulated by the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, and every cider maker follows a 10-point safety plan and has a certified food safety specialist on staff. Riveridge distributes preservative, non-preservative and organic, pasteurized cider made fresh pressed –mostly Michigan-grown apples. We’d like to talk to you about a seasonal or year-around cider program.
